More context & the original report

Florida's October 10 response update confirms Uber's shelter transportation offer for Hurricane Isaias in declared counties. The promotion covers up to $40 for each of two trips per account to or from an approved shelter. No fixed offer expiry was published; it may change or be cancelled. Utility shutoff holds, late-fee waivers and payment arrangements require provider confirmation. Contact FPL, Duke, JEA or your co-op early and request the terms in writing; an ordinary payment extension may still carry late charges. Hotels may offer private storm rates or pet-fee concessions, but confirm availability, the full price and cancellation terms directly. Participating pet-fee waivers do not guarantee a discounted room.
