A declaration does not mean every county has an evacuation order or open shelter. Follow actual local instructions. SAIL hours vary; call 911 for an immediate emergency.

Requirements, declaration & official sources

Florida · statewide guidance

The declaration activates state and local response and recovery plans and allows deployment of emergency personnel and supplies. Shelter openings, evacuations and curfews require actual state or local instructions.

State Assistance Information Line (SAIL): 1-800-342-3557. Official SERT updates: @FLSERT. Call 911 for an immediate emergency.

County protections shown here use the verified executive order. Early prescription coverage may also be triggered by a hurricane warning or an activated county emergency operations center and plan; ask your pharmacy or insurer even if your county is not listed.

Activated state or local emergency response personnel may have emergency-refill access outside the declared counties under EO 26-202. Insulin also has separate emergency-refill provisions.

A declaration alone does not open household cash grants, D-SNAP or SBA loans. Follow a separately announced, verified application program before applying.
